Chris Berry was Visiting Professor at the Korean National University of Arts during the fall semester of 1999. He teaches in the Department of Cinema Studies at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.

    In recent years the Korean documentary has taken a new direction, moving toward a much more diverse expression. New independent docs have entered the scene. They are still primarily targeted at the local population, but also aim for global appeal.
