CPH:DOX, EAVE, and IMS have announced a call for submissions from documentary filmmakers in #Armenia, #Azerbaijan, #Belarus, #Georgia, #Moldova, and #Ukraine for a new co-production training programme titled «CHANGE.» This initiative aims to nurture and develop documentary projects from these regions through a series of intensive workshops and an international market presentation. The programme is open to teams of directors and producers from the specified countries with documentary projects in development.
The programme includes three residential workshops and concludes with a project showcase at CPH:FORUM 2025. Filmmakers interested in participating must submit their applications by Monday, 12 August 2024.
The first workshop, focused on development, will take place from October 28 to November 1, 2024, in Chisinau, Moldova. This workshop aims to enhance storytelling, define the core message of the projects, and strategize the intended impact and awareness each film aims to achieve.
The second workshop, centered on co-production, will be held from 13-17 January 2025, in Tbilisi, Georgia. Participants will explore each other’s production environments, financing structures, and the benefits and challenges of co-production, preparing their projects for the international market.
The third and final workshop, known as Encounter, will occur from 22-26 March 2025, during CPH:DOX in Copenhagen, Denmark. Projects will be presented at #CPH:FORUM in a round-table format, allowing filmmakers to engage with the international market and develop tailored strategies for their projects moving forward.
Some applicants may be invited for an online interview in August 2024 to provide further clarity on their projects. Final selections will be announced in early September 2024.
