Doclisboa’s Nebulae names Greece as 2026 focus country

Nebulae, the industry and networking platform of Doclisboa, will welcome Greece as the invited country of its 2026 edition, with a call for Greek projects now open through 13 May.

Held within the framework of Doclisboa, Nebulae brings together filmmakers, producers and industry professionals through meetings, presentations and informal exchanges. Designed in dialogue with the festival’s wider film programme, the platform supports the development and circulation of projects while creating space for discussion around contemporary non-fiction practice.

A key feature of each edition is its focus on a guest country, creating a dedicated setting for selected projects to connect with international professionals and expand their networks. For 2026, that focus has been developed in collaboration with the Hellenic Film Center. Producers of Greek projects are invited to apply, with up to six projects set to be selected.

Nebulae is supported by the Creative Europe Programme and forms part of the Doc Alliance Network of Markets, a joint initiative linking four industry platforms: Nebulae, FIDLab, Ji.hlava New Visions and MDAG Industry. Through this shared structure, selected projects are presented within a broader curated framework that aims to increase their international visibility and strengthen connections with decision-makers across the documentary field. Accredited professionals from participating festivals are granted year-round access to the platform.

The 2026 edition of Doclisboa is scheduled to run from 15 to 25 October.
