DokuFest is set to elevate its musical offerings with the announcement of its full lineup for the 23rd edition. This year’s festival, taking place from 2nd to 10th August, will transform Prizren into a sonic playground with a citywide embrace of music across three distinct stages.

Curated by #Nita Deda# and #Leart Rama#, the #DokuNights music programme promises a diverse array of performances, featuring both traditional and avant-garde acts. Attendees can expect a journey through centuries-old ceremonial songs to cutting-edge contemporary sounds.

Among the standout acts is 47 Soul, a Palestinian shamstep music collective known for their energetic and politically charged performances. The festival will also host a unique, site-specific show by Tiran Willemse and Nkisi, alongside a rave at the historic Prizren castle headlined by Berlin’s influential Hypersoft collective. This night of music will also feature a live cinematic performance by Gianmarco.

Experimental electronic musician Actress will debut a new live #A/V performance, adding to the festival’s innovative spirit. Local talent will shine with Agona Shporta, launching her debut album with a band of celebrated jazz musicians, and Prishtina’s Eljesa Beka, unveiling a deeply personal album followed by a quadrophonic live set from Finnish legend Aleksi Perälä.

The festival will see the return of Herrensauna, delivering a special performance that fuses hallucinatory soundscapes with sacred #Sufi chants by Gegezen. Danish band Efterklang will blend film and music in a unique presentation at the Lumbardhi Cinema.

Opening the festival is the otherworldly Aïsha Devi with her new visual and musical production «Les Immortelles.» The closing act, Orkestra Shkodra, will celebrate the cultural heritage of #Shkodra city in northern #Albania, encapsulating the festival’s spirit of blending tradition with modernity.
