From 27 October to 1 November, the 2020 edition of Ji.hlava IDFF is set to take place.
Unlike many other of this year’s festivals, Ji.hlava is committed to bringing forth a physical edition, refusing to call off or postpone. Rather, it is working on various scenarios where physical screenings and events can take place at the renowned Czech Republic documentary festival. Of course, this has all been caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, which in Europe has been subsiding over the last weeks.
In a written statement, Ji.hlava mentions several of the potential scenarios of the 2020 festival. These include setting up additional screening venues, repeat screenings, and special precautions for the most vulnerable of the population.
