On August 13, the Sarajevo Film Festival will feature «Docu Talents from the East», a presentation showcasing remarkable documentary films in post-production from Central and Eastern Europe. The event, part of CineLink Industry Days, will present eight new and creative documentary projects exploring themes of family roots, cultural identity, and a pursuit for a fairer world amid global and political influences.
The most promising project will receive the Docu Talent Award, along with a cash prize of 5,000 USD, in partnership with Current Time TV. Additionally, the DAFilms.com Distribution Award will offer services worth €3,000, including an international VOD release on DAFilms.com for two years.
For nineteen years, Docu Talents from the East has provided a platform for documentary filmmakers from Central and Eastern Europe to showcase their works. Organized and curated by the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, this event has catapulted emerging filmmakers into the spotlight and given their unique stories a global audience.
