MakeDox announces full programme for 13th edition

    The 13th MakeDox creative documentary film festival takes place from 18 to 25 August in Skopje. Congruently, the fourth edition of the MakeCoProDox Forum will take place on the 22 and 23.

    Opening with All That Breathes (dir. Shaunak Sen), the film programme consists of of 71 documentary films in 5 competitive programs. There will also be 2 out-of-competition programmes: Country in Focus: Czech Republic and the Kids & Youth Programme. In Country in Focus, opening the programme will be Rene – The Prisoner of Freedom by Helena Trestikova, who is also the honourary guest and who will hold a masterclass on 20 August.

    Further activities include a development workshop with Tue Steen Müller for 6 projects in development from the Balkan region. There will also be the continuation of Doc Talks Under the Fig Tree, a photo-exhibition by Dorijan Milovanovikj, and concerts and DJ-sets throughout.

    Of the films screened in the min competition, included are Nataša Urban’s The Eclipse and Simon Lereng Wilmont’s A House Made of Splinters,
