At the 20th #MIA Market# in Rome, Adler Entertainment and 39Films have announced the launch of WRITING BOX, a new content production platform that seeks to foster international collaboration among writers and creators for the global market. WRITING BOX aims to become an intellectual property (IP) incubator, developing films, documentaries, and TV series with a strong focus on originality and authenticity.

WRITING BOX is spearheaded by Alfredo Federico, co-founder of 39Films, known for producing acclaimed works such as Tropa de Elite and The Burning Plain, alongside Marco Colombo and Mattia della Puppa of Adler Entertainment. Simona Banchi, a seasoned producer with experience in films and documentaries like Viva Zapatero! and Draquila, is also a key player on the board.

The platform’s first initiative will be a residency held in Tuscany from 22 to 27 April in collaboration with Nostos Screenwriting Retreats. Four projects will be developed during this period—three films and one TV series. These include Azzardo, Neppure un capello, Lella, and the series Il Principe. Acclaimed writers and creatives, including Oscar nominee Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) and screenwriter Joe Forte (Firewall), will contribute to the residency.
