In response to heightened interest, #IDFA has begun developing and optimizing its Online Collection online.
In the coming months, the IDFA Online Collection will be further developed to ensure additional opportunities for audiences and filmmakers alike. Currently, around 300 films can be watched for free with about 500 more available via a small contribution. Furthermore, IDFA will continue to update its online channels with curated sets of films, pathways, and filters to help viewers navigate this expanding collection.
Some of IDFA’s current Pathways and tips are:
- Do {not} touch: A wide-ranging selection of digital interactive non-fiction works from IDFA’s new media program DocLab
- On the road: A selection of films that prompt us to experience life in motion, where the destination is secondary to life in the present and the landscapes that pass us by. Read our Review of Midnight Traveler
- Secluded, but shortly: Short or medium length films where protagonists had various reasons to stay at home
- Solidarity in times of social distancing: Think about the many forms of distancing that we created before—between peoples, families, nations, and classes—and to make sure we keep our sights on the essence of being human.
- Profession: Journalist: Meet some of the people who see truth-telling as their calling—voices of clarity that rise above the mediated noise.
