The 2024 #CPH:DOX, scheduled from 13-24 March, is poised to present a diverse lineup of 66 films across six award categories, including 47 world premieres. This year, the festival also introduces the HUMAN:RIGHTS AWARD, aligning with the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to acknowledge documentaries that address human rights issues.

The selection includes films like Balomania (dir. Sissel Morell Dargis), and The Black Garden (dir. Alexis Pazoumian). Other notable world premieres include E.1027 – Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea (dir. Beatrice Minger, Christoph Schaub) delves into architectural beauty and personal history, and The Flats (dir. Alessandra Celesia) offers a gripping narrative set against a complex backdrop.

Immortals (dir. Maja Tschumi), and Life and Other Problems (dir. Max Kestner) are part of the festival’s world premieres. Motherboard (dir. Victoria Mapplebeck), and Night of Nights, along with Once Upon a Time in a Forest (dir. Virpi Suutari), and Phantoms of the Sierra Madre (dir. Håvard Bustnes) also feature, set to explore environmental and historical themes.

Additionally, the festival will showcase Two Strangers Trying Not To Kill Each Other (dir. Manon Ouimert, Jacob Perlmutter), and Wilfred Buck (dir. Lisa Jackson) further expanding its international scope and commitment to showcasing a diverse range of documentaries that challenge, inspire, and entertain.. These films, among many others, are selected for their ability to explore complex themes, offering audiences a range of perspectives on global and personal issues.
