The 7th AJB DOC Film Festival, organized by Al Jazeera Balkans, is currently open for submissions, welcoming documentary filmmakers from around the globe to showcase their work. Scheduled to take place in #Sarajevo from 13-17 September 2024, the festival emphasizes documentaries tailored for television that highlight global social issues. Filmmakers have until May 27, 2024, to submit their entries through the festival’s official website or Film Freeway, adhering to the TV format requirement with durations ranging from 22 to 52 minutes.

This year’s festival promises to screen over 20 documentaries across various sections, both competitive and non-competitive. Highlighting the event are awards for Best Film, Jury Prize, and Audience Favorite, offering filmmakers not only recognition but also the opportunity for selected films to be considered for broadcast on Al Jazeera Balkans. This platform is not just a celebration of documentary filmmaking but also a call to engage deeply with pressing social values on a global stage.
