The AJB DOC Film Festival has unveiled the members of its international jury for the upcoming 7th edition, set to take place from 13 September to 17 September, 2024, in Sarajevo. The jury, composed of five distinguished professionals in documentary filmmaking, will adjudicate the Competition Selection, determining the best film aligned with this year’s theme, «Justice?»

The jury includes Deborah London-Harrington, Head of Production Management at #Dogwoof; Namik Kabil, a Bosnian film director and writer; Mila Turajlić, an acclaimed Serbian documentary filmmaker; Francesco Montagner, an award-winning Italian filmmaker; and Myriam Francois, a Franco-Irish journalist and filmmaker.

The theme «Justice?» resonates with the festival’s lineup, particularly given the current global context, including the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in #Palestine. Festival Director Edhem Fočo emphasised the challenging task ahead for the jury, noting their proven ability to engage with divisive and significant issues. Fočo expressed confidence in their judgment and extended an invitation to audiences to engage with the festival’s offerings.
