B2B Doc partners with Odesa IFF for 2023 Documentary Industry Days programme

B2B Doc, Odesa IFF, and Gdynia Film Center join forces to bring you the Documentary Industry Days of Odesa IFF in Gdynia, Poland. From August 28 to 31, this event promises to be a haven for filmmakers looking to showcase their projects and network with like-minded individuals. The industry programme is packed with three main events that aim to highlight projects from B2B Doc countries including Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

Scouting Session – August 29:

Are you a documentary filmmaker with film projects in the idea or early development stage? Join B2B Doc and the international documentary community as you present your projects. Don’t worry about having fully developed projects or detailed pitches just yet. The focus here is to identify the potential in your ideas and provide valuable feedback to help you shape a solid strategy for co-production, financing, and distribution. Fill out the form and submit it before July 28 to apply for scouting. Selected projects will even have the opportunity to receive travel grants to Gdynia.

Launch Pad Pitching – August 30:

For this event, B2B Doc will present film projects in their early production stages. If you have a project that has never been pitched before, this is the perfect opportunity to gain exposure. B2B Doc will prepare all the projects for pitching and facilitate meetings with industry professionals. Please note that there is no open call for this session, as only pre-selected film projects developed by B2B Doc will be invited.

Cutting Edge Pitching – August 31:

Are you currently in the editing stage of your film project? Then this pitching session is tailor-made for you. B2B Doc will present film projects in the editing stage to a distinguished panel of distributors, sales agents, film funds, and TV channels. These projects have received creative support from B2B Doc, with teams having attended various international training programs, workshops, and previous leading pitching events and co-production markets in Europe. There is no open call for this session. Only pre-selected film projects developed by B2B Doc will be invited.

The Documentary Industry Days will take place at the Gdynia Film Centre, where attendees can look forward to engaging workshops, insightful panel discussions, and enlightening masterclasses led by renowned filmmakers from the B2B Doc countries and international industry professionals.
