The Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries (BSD) is the top co-financing pitching event for documentary filmmakers in the Baltic countries. BSD is looking for independent production companies to apply from the Baltic Sea region, Eastern Europe, Caucasus region, and other countries related to the area. However, production companies from Russia and projects focusing on Russia are excluded due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
BSD selects 18 projects for international broadcasters, sales agents, and other industry representatives to pitch. The 27th edition of BSD is taking place from September 3-10, 2023, in Riga, Latvia. The event is free, and the application deadline is June 12.
BSD’s industry section will include new activities, such as the Coming Soon session and a special networking event for closer collaboration between Baltic and European producers.
