Bologna’s premier audiovisual industry event, Biografilm‘s Bio to B – Industry Days, returns for its 12th edition from 7 to 9 June 2025 with a renewed identity, expanded programming, and a commitment to fostering international collaborations in documentary and drama production.

Previously known as Bio to B, the event continues its role as a cornerstone for industry professionals seeking co-production, distribution, and networking opportunities. With its rebranding comes a new structural division: BIO TO B | DOC (7-8 June) and BIO TO B | DRAMA (9 June), each catering to distinct segments of the audiovisual sector.

Bio to B – Industry Days has officially opened submissions for its highly anticipated Pitching Forum, offering 20 selected documentary projects in development, production, or rough-cut stage the opportunity to present before an international audience of producers, distributors, and festival programmers. Designed as a strategic meeting point for industry professionals, the forum serves as a gateway for projects seeking co-production or distribution. The submission deadline is 23 March 2025.

In collaboration with Archivio Aperto, Bio to B – Industry Days is launching a specialized consulting and tutoring workshop dedicated to Italian feature-length documentaries that incorporate archival materials. Four selected projects will receive guidance from seasoned industry figures, including editor Ilaria Fraioli, director Martina Parenti, and archive producer Alessia Petitto. The workshop will culminate in a showcase during the event, providing a valuable platform for exposure and professional feedback.

As part of Biografilm’s Doc Around Europe Alumni Network, acclaimed documentary editor Francesca Sofia Allegra will lead an exclusive online masterclass titled Can We Write Reality? on March 7. The session will explore the art of documentary editing, offering insights into shaping raw footage into compelling narratives.
