The 24th edition of #DokuFest wrapped on Saturday night, where juries, partners, and guests gathered to honour standout films from across the festival’s competitions. Over nine days, DokuFest presented 213 films alongside performances, discussions, masterclasses, and workshops spread across cinemas and improvised venues throughout Prizren.
Two notable initiatives framed this year’s momentum. First, the festival deepened its collaboration with Radiator IP Sales to tackle the distribution challenges faced by Kosovo-produced films; the National Competition titles were considered for international sales, with the Distribution Award recognising a standout project. Second, DokuFest launched the First Balkan Short Film Forum—supported by the Swedish Embassy, Sida, the Ministries of Culture, and the Cinematography Centers of Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia—showcasing eight promising projects and awarding €5,500 in cash prizes along with several partner recognitions.
