Extended Deadline for 2024 AJD Industry Days Announced

Documentary filmmakers now have additional time to submit their projects for the third edition of the Al Jazeera Documentary (AJD) Industry Days. The submission deadline has been extended to 15 June 2024.

AJD Industry Days will be held from 14 to 16 September 2024, in Sarajevo. This event invites documentary filmmakers from Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) regions, as well as projects addressing topics relevant to these areas. Submission is free of charge.

Filmmakers can compete in three categories:

Main Pitch: Open to all stages of project development and production by independent filmmakers and production companies.

Rough Cut: For projects in post-production intended for broadcasting on Al Jazeera or other international broadcasters.

Balkan Stars: For development stage projects suitable for regional and international co-production with Al Jazeera Balkans, Al Jazeera Documentary, or other broadcasters.

Participants will have the opportunity to vie for competitive awards and additional partner awards. For submission details and to apply, visit industry.ajbdoc.ba/submissions/submit. Further information can be found on the official industry website.
