The International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH) has announced the 7th edition of Impact Days, taking place from 9 to 11 March 2025 in Geneva. This professional programme is a key platform for filmmakers, impact producers, NGOs international organisations, philanthropists, and distributors who use documentary storytelling to drive meaningful social change.
This year’s Impact Days will feature a lineup of case studies, networking events, and expert discussions, showcasing best practices from global impact-driven film initiatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with key organisations, funders, and impact producers that extend the influence of human rights documentaries beyond the screen.
An addition to this year’s programme is the Swiss Focus 2025, an initiative dedicated to strengthening Swiss industry collaborations. This segment will spotlight four Swiss film projects, offering them the opportunity to develop impact partnerships at both national and international levels.
Programme Highlights
- March 9: The event starts with a Welcome Cocktail at Espace Pitoëff’s Café du Festival, followed by a keynote discussion titled «Countering the Normalisation of the Far Right.»
- March 10: The day features a keynote speech by Jenni Wolfson, a former human rights investigator turned storytelling advocate. Highlights include a panel on navigating film in a polarised world, case studies on projects such as All That I Am (focused on child abuse justice) and Devi (a film about healing and justice), as well as a «Meet the Organisations» session designed to bridge the gap between factual storytelling and impactful filmmaking.
- March 11: The festival culminates in the Impact Days Pitching Session, where 12 compelling projects will present their impact campaigns before an audience of NGOs, international organisations, and funders.
