This week, FIPADOC expressed and affirmed its continued support to the audiovisual and film industries, which have suffered considerable distress as of late, with a special thought for cinemas and festivals forced to adapt or reschedule.

As FIPADOC’s third edition creeps ever closer, some 1700 works have already been submitted despite this difficult context. The selection process is currently underway and final programming will be announced in early January 2021. Currently, FIPADOC awaits the public and industry professionals to Biarritz, France, coming together for discussion and debate.

With that, the third FIPADOC will be held (as scheduled) from 18 to 24 January 2021.

Should health and safety regulations permit, the festival will be held in physical form with Industry Days events, such as the International Co-production Forum and Campus, designed for both remote access and in-person attendance. If conditions required for a hybrid festival cannot be established, a 100% online edition will be presented. A final announcement of this will come on 10 December 2020.

Accreditations are now available and will provide access to either a hybrid or online edition of Industry Days and Campus events. Films from the official selection will be accessible exclusively to industry professionals via Cinando.
