The 20th annual goEAST Festival of Central and Eastern European Film will feature online and on-demand offers in May.

With the expected travel restrictions on events continuing into its scheduled festival period, the 20th #goEAST Festival of Central and Eastern European Film will feature online and on-demand offers in May. Furthermore, a local programme will now be spread out across the rest of the year.

From May 5 – 11, selections from the programme will be available online via the festival website.

In addition to films, the online programme will showcase talks and panel discussions. These will include a workshop conversation with #Radu Jude# and the annual master class, as well as the panel discussions «What Would We Do Without Europe?» and «Blurred Lines – Ethics in Dealing with Amateur Performers and Protagonists».

goEASTS’s East-West Talent Lab will also take place entirely online, with the 15 participants presenting their projects through a digital pitch session on 11 May.

Via their online press conference on 29 April, goEast will then share further details about the individual sections, juries, and competitions for 2020.
