The 4 prominent Adriatic region events to launch joint online film festival

    A first online festival involving four leading national film festivals of the same speaking area will take place from 9 – 17 April, at the initiative of the Sarajevo Film Festival: Joining Sarajevo Film Festival (BiH) will be Zagreb Film Festival (Croatia), Belgrade Film Festival (Serbia) and Herceg Novi Film Festival (Montenegro)and will be held at, and will feature films selected by selectors of these four festivals. It will be the spring edition of each of these festivals.

    This «Springbreak Edition» will present a programme of films that otherwise would be unavailable to audiences. It includes Yugoslavian classics, first film authors, multi-awarded films, the most interesting European and world titles. In addition to the films, the audience will be able to watch interviews with some of the authors of the films in the programme.

    Of the 8 films featured, the Croatian documentary One Of Us (dir. Đuro Gavran) amongst fiction films have featured at the likes of Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, and more. They include Dani Rosenberg’s The Death of Cinema, and My Father Too, Michel Franco’s New Order, and Philip Yuryev’s The Whaler Boy.
