Visions du Réel, International Film Festival Nyon has officially opened their call (2 September 2021) for submissions for the 2022 festival edition—its 53rd. The long-running, Swiss film festival has established formal and aesthetic choices through personal and singular expressions and descriptions of past, present, and future, freely interpreting the very definition of non-fiction filmmaking.
If you feel as though your non-fiction film project fits, Visions du Réel seeks films of any length for its Official Selection. Additionally, feature-length films at every stage of their production for the Visions du Réel’s industry activities.
Deadlines are 8 November 2021 for films finished by October 2021, and for projects already ready for submission, with a final deadline of 17 December 2021.
