The #WOMEX 20 Film Programme has been released in the form of a carefully curated 21 film selections from the biggest conference of the global music scene in the world. In providing a platform for the film industry to reach new markets while exploring additional distribution and production channels, the WOMEX 20 Film Programme also creates an immersive experience to discover music, artists, and cross-cultural collaborations, while reflecting on alternative programming opportunities.

For this digital edition of WOMEX 20, all films will be available online via streaming on the virtualWOMEX platform from 15 – 25 October 2020 and will be accessible to all WOMEX 20 digital participants worldwide. As bonus content, a retrospective of Jeremy Marre’s films Konkombe, Roots Rock Reggae, Rhythm of Resistance, and Salsa from his Beats of the Heart series are also available to all digital participants.

Across the 21 below films, topics range from the representation of #Africa, female empowerment, #inclusivity & #diversity, the #Black Lives Matter# movement, grassroots community actions, #ecology, and #spirituality.
