This year’s 23rd edition of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will take place across two primary dates with special screenings between.
From 4 – 14 March 2021, Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will screen its tribute films online, as well as documentaries specifically aimed at children and teenagers. Should the situation allow, these online screenings will coincide with physical screenings at the Olympion theater.
Then, from 24 June – 4 July, the main events take place in summer cinemas and festival venues (should restrictions allow). During this time, films from the festival’s three competition sections, as well as the Greek documentaries will be screened. Films from the complete programme will be available online to viewers in #Greece. During this time (25 June – 3 July) The Agora of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will take place with certain activities planned for open spaces.
Finally, from March through the summer, the festival will present activities and screenings, online or in the festival venues, according to the health situation.
More details on both dates will be released soon.
