Boney Piles, a film by Taras Tomenko

DocuDays UA brings National Competition films, works-in-progress, more across Sheffield Doc/Fest activities

Written by:

In solidarity with Ukraine, Sheffield DocFest‘s «Password: Palianytsia» is a collaborative doc programme with #Docudays UA#.

The programme with DocuDays UA comes in addition to the festivals’ wider focus on Ukraine, which launches the British Council and Ukrainian Institute’s UK/Ukraine Season of Culture. This launch occurred on Friday, 24 June with Volodymyr Tykhyy’s One Day in Ukraine.

The DocuDays UA programme features selections across Sheffield Doc/Fest activities, including the four films that would have made its National Competition, and originally screened at the 62nd Krakow Film Festival. A further two films will screen in full, including what would have been the 2022 DocuDays UA opening selection (Boney Piles). Additionally, five Ukrainian projects are included amongst the 35 projects at the festival’s pitching forum, while three will present Works-In-Progress as part of the Industry Programme.
