The sixth Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC) is scheduled from September 8th to September 12th in Sarajevo. Themed «RIGHT(S),» the festival focuses on fundamental rights denial, addressing issues faced by vulnerable groups. Documentaries spanning civil, political, social, and economic rights will be screened.

The event emphasizes universal human values and shines a light on pertinent topics such as women’s rights, #refugee and #migrant rights, #media freedom#, and more. Despite international safeguards, these rights continue to be neglected.

The festival program includes televised documentaries in the Competition segment, feature-length films in Last Minute Cinema, and regional documentaries in AJB Screening. The SmartDoc program will showcase works by emerging talents. AJB DOC is sponsored by BH Telecom and Samsung.

With its four programs soon to be unveiled, the festival aims to foster discussions on crucial global issues while showcasing a range of documentaries that delve into the complexities of human rights violations.
