The 4th edition of AJD Industry Days has officially opened its call for documentary projects, inviting filmmakers and producers from Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, and the MENA region to submit their works. Submissions will be accepted from 3 March to 31 May, 2025.

The event, held from 13-15 September 2025, in Sarajevo, provides a major platform for documentary professionals to pitch their projects to Al Jazeera Media Network decision-makers and leading industry figures. Selected participants will have the opportunity to secure funding, broadcasting, distribution, and sales support.

Categories Open for Submission:

• Main Pitch: Open to projects in all stages of development.
• Rough Cut: For documentaries in the final production phase, with potential for Al Jazeera and other international platforms.
• Balkans Pitch: Specifically for projects suitable for regional and international co-production with Al Jazeera Balkans and Al Jazeera Documentary Channel.

Successful applicants will be notified by July 2025 and invited to pitch in person at the event. The total prize fund for selected projects is expected to match previous years’ allocation of approximately $100,000.

AJD Industry Days runs alongside the Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC), which will take place from 12-16 September 2025.
