The 11th Bozcaada International Ecological Documentary Festival (BIFED) concluded with a selection of films addressing global ecological issues. Held over four days, the festival showcased 35 documentaries from a pool of nearly 500 submissions representing over 100 countries. In addition to screenings, BIFED featured workshops focused on ecological awareness.

At the closing ceremony, the prestigious Fethi Kayaalp Grand Prize was awarded to Twice Colonized, directed by Lin Alluna, a Denmark-Canada co-production. The jury, composed of Rûken Tekeş, Mafalda Ade, Katharina Weingartner, and Eleonara Isunza, commended the strong thematic focus on #colonialism across the award-winning films. They also noted that Simon El Habre, a Lebanese jury member, was unable to participate due to the ongoing war in his country, expressing a call for peace.

In the Main Competition, second place went to Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat by Johan Grimonprez, while Water for Life by Will Parrinello received an honourable mention. Additional prizes were awarded, including the Naci Güçhan Student Award to Tale of the Three Flames by Juliette Menthonnex and the İdil Schneider-Bulut Voice Award to I am the River, The River is Me by Tahuaroa Ohia-Ad Stopp.
