BIFED does not follow the latest trends or take an interest in popular films that migrate from one festival to another; instead, it focuses on films that address their own issues without exploiting the Third World as exotic material, emphasising that truth has no expiration date. By organizing this festival, BIFED aims to create new reasons to produce and share films and other artworks that concentrate on the world’s problems and riches, initiating an independent platform to reward these works. Imagining a more local, smaller, and, more importantly, genuine togetherness through this festival, BIFED acknowledges increasing ecological problems and hopeful developments, offering a consistent and hope-nurturing platform.
