The Festival International du Film et Forum sur les Droits Humains (FIFDH), Geneva’s international human rights film festival, has issued a final call for submissions to its expanded industry program, with applications due by Friday, 19 September.

The festival’s #Impact Days# program bridges the gap between documentary creators and influential organisations within Geneva’s network of international bodies, policymakers, and philanthropic institutions. The initiative focuses on selecting compelling projects, training filmmakers in impact strategy, facilitating partner connections, and maintaining ongoing creator relationships.

The program operates through two submission tracks. The International Pitch welcomes documentary projects in production or post-production phases, with filmmakers seeking to develop impact campaigns. The Swiss Focus Pitch targets domestic projects intended for implementation within Switzerland.

For completed documentaries with existing or launch-ready campaigns, the festival offers comprehensive support including public screenings during the festival followed by panel discussions addressing social issues explored in the films. The program also provides strategic guidance to help filmmakers refine impact objectives, develop presentation strategies, identify partnerships beyond the documentary sector, and effectively reach target audiences.

The FIFDH’s position within International Geneva’s institutional ecosystem provides participating filmmakers with unique access to a concentrated network of global organizations, policy influencers, and funding sources typically unavailable through traditional film festival circuits.
