Sarajevo Film Festival adds music docs, human rights day info to 2021 programme

The 27th Sarajevo Film Festival continues adding to their 2031 programme. Now, new music docs and Human Rights Day information has been released for the festival running 12 – 20 August, 2021.

As part of its Summer Screen Programme, Sarejavo Film Festival brings six films on music, art, and culture. The six films include Heart of Sarajevo recipient Wim WendersBuena Vista Social Club and Pina 3D. Julien Temple’s Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane MacGowan will also feature, as well as Questlove’s Sundance winning Summer of Soul, David Byrne’s American Utopia (dir. Spike Lee), and Max Eriksson’s The Scars of Ali Boulala.

On 17 August, Under the auspices of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the 13th consecutive Human Rights Day programme will commence centred around Alexander Nanu’s renowned Collective. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion centred on the topic «Society and the individual – a perishing responsibility?». The discussion will be moderated by journalist and director Robert Zuber.
