Iryna Tsilyk’s The Earth is Blue as an Orange won the #MajorDocs Best Film Award at this year’s #Mallorca based slow film festival. The top prize also came prize money of €1,500, sponsored by the Association of Audiovisual Producers in the Balearic Islands, APAIB.

From a jury made up of #Cíntia Gil#, programmer and former director of #Sheffield Doc/Fest#, #Petra Seliskar#, producer, filmmaker and director of #MakeDox Creative Documentary Film Fest and #Audrius Stonys#, filmmaker, MajorDocs also awarded Salomé Jashi’s Taming the Garden with a Special Jury Award for Artistic Achievement and Argentinian director Natalia Garayalde’s Splinters, which was given a Special Mention.

The MajorDocs Audience Award was given to Menorcan director Macià Florit’s Native Rock.
