Visions du Réel will feature #John Wilson#, the creator behind the Emmy-nominated *How To with John Wilson*, as a special guest in its upcoming 55th edition from 12-21 April 2024.

Wilson, known for his unique documentary style that marries humour with keen societal observations, will share a selection of episodes from his series and earlier works, offering audiences an intimate glance into the oddities of everyday life. His approach, characterised by a blend of candid camera work and unexpected narrative detours, captures the essence of human eccentricity through the lens of the mundane.

Emilie Bujès, the festival’s artistic director, highlighted Wilson’s innovative storytelling and its relevance to contemporary documentary cinema, emphasising the joy and collaborative spirit his work brings to the screen.
