Submissions are now open for the 12th Young Horizons International Film Festival and the 9th Young Horizons Industry co-production forum—two major European platforms dedicated to youth-centred cinema. Taking place in Poland this autumn, both initiatives seek to spotlight high-quality content for young audiences aged 4 to 16.
The Young Horizons Industry forum, scheduled from 29 September to 1 October 2025 in Warsaw and online, invites filmmakers to pitch full-length films and series—live-action, documentary, or animation—at any stage of development or production. Twenty selected projects will be presented before over 300 international guests, including sales agents, broadcasters, and co-producers. The deadline for submissions is 11 May 2025, and participation is free.
Meanwhile, the 12th Young Horizons Film Festival, running from 26 September to 5 October in cinemas and from 9 to 26 October online, is calling for completed films aimed at children and teenagers. Both short and feature-length works are eligible across genres, with screenings organised in competitive and non-competitive sections.
As Poland’s largest film event for young audiences, Young Horizons has become a key platform for discovering fresh voices in youth cinema and forging international collaborations.
