The Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights closed its 24th edition on 14 March after drawing more than 32,000 attendees across a 10-day run. More than 200 guests from art, science, politics and activism took part in this year’s edition.

Leading the winners was A Fox Under a Pink Moon, directed by Soraya Akhlaghi and Mehrdad Oskouei, which took the FIFDH Geneva Grand Award in the international documentary competition. The film also picked up the Youth Jury Award for documentary, making it one of the most decorated titles in this year’s lineup.

Arjun Talwar’s Letters from Wolf Street received the Gilda Vieira de Mello Award, while Yaara Bou Melhem’s Yurlu | Country won the Vision for Human Rights Award. In the fiction competition, Suzannah Mirghani’s Cotton Queen took the Fiction Grand Award, with additional fiction honours going to My Sweet Land, which won the Special Jury Award, and Under the Volcano, which received the Youth Jury Award for fiction.
