In October, #Doclisboa celebrates 20 years and presents a special edition with the opening and closing sessions held simultaneously in the cities of #Lisbon (opening at Cinema São Jorge and closing at Culturgest) and #Porto (Cinema Trindade).

The opening session will take place on 6 October, 2022 with the Portuguese premiere of North Terminal (dir. Lucrecia Martel). The acclaimed filmmaker returns to documentary with a short film made during the #pandemic, following the singer #Julieta Laso# in her various encounters with an extraordinary group of Argentine artists in the Salta region. The opening session also includes a musical act, starring the Portuguese composer and singer #Lula Pena# at Lisbon’s Cinema São Jorge.

The closing session will occur on 15 October and screen Love Lights (dir. Acácio de Almeida, Marie Carré), a declaration of love for #photography and #cinema. Acácio de Almeida, one of the most important Portuguese directors of photography, makes his debut in filmmaking, offering us a distinctive look at the role of light in his work and cinema.
