dok.incubator calls for documentaries in rough cut stage

Dok.incubator is accepting submissions for its 2024 workshop, targeting feature-length documentaries at the rough-cut stage. Filmmakers have until January 25, 2024, to apply for this opportunity to refine their projects with industry experts.

This eight-month program guides directors, editors, and producers, offering mentorship from renowned professionals. Participants will enhance their storytelling, contextualise their work internationally, and devise strategies to engage audiences. The workshop focuses on editing, distribution, and audience-building, transforming rough cuts into polished, globally appealing films across three sessions (April, June, September – October 2024).

The workshop’s effectiveness is proven by its impressive track record. In the past 12 years, it has helped 13 films enter Sundance competitions, over 35 films screen at IDFA, and six receive European Film Award nominations.

Dok.incubator’s 2024 workshop is a significant chance for documentary filmmakers to gain invaluable insights and skills, setting their films on a successful path in the competitive documentary film industry.
