On 10 June, Taskovski Film Training DOCSCONNECT presents its next special Masterclass. For this edition, the Oscar-winning Charlie Phillips will lead the conversation about pitching for shorts and feature documentaries in the current market. In purchasing a ticket and attending this special event, you can make an optional donation which will be used to support Ukrainian filmmakers.
The masterclass is part of the Gender Film Program that aims to support women’s voices and agency in the film sector, made in collaboration with the British Council, Film Development Board Nepal and Nepali Female Filmmakers.

Charlie Phillips is a documentary film programmer, producer, and consultant who currently works as the Executive Producer, Industry Participation at Sheffield Doc/Fest, and Head of Stories at Lyfta. He was previously the Head of Video at The Guardian, including overseeing the winner of the short documentary Oscar in 2021, Colette. He was previously Deputy Director at Sheffield Doc/Fest, and has led training programmes and mentored filmmakers all across the world.
