Thessaloniki Documentary Festival unveils full 2022 programme

The 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will be held from Thursday 10 to Sunday 20 March where 233 full-length and short film documentaries will be screened.

The entire festival kicks off with How to Survive a Pandemic (dir. David France), celebrating its world premiere. The Festival then close with the film Blind Ambition (dir. Warwick Ross, Rob Coe). Aside from the comprehensive selection of Greek Documentaries, the International Programme will feature 12 films taking part in the International Competition. Other sections making up the International Programme are Newcomers, >>Film Forward, Open Horizons, Top Docs, and NextGen.

Special tributes at the 24th TDF will include Latvian auteur Laila Pakalnina and Finnish filmmaker Virpi Suutari. These two filmmaker tributes are in addition to the festival’s 10-film primary tribute to post-reality.

Across all section such films as Brotherhood (dir. Francesco Montagner) F@Ck This Job (dir. Vera Krichevskaya), Letter to Nikola (dir. Hara Kaminara), The History of the Civil War (dir. Dziga Veertov), Trenches (dir. Loup Bureau) Turn Your Body to the Sun (dir. Aliona van der Horst), Users (dir. Nalia Almada), and many more.
