From 2015-2027 he has been editor/publisher of NY TID (modern times), a Norwegian quarterly non-fiction printed book magazine.
He was publisher and editor-in-chief of Morgenbladet in Oslo (1993–2003) and Le Monde diplomatique (2003-2013). He was also editor of the magazine DOX at EDN for 4 years (around 2010).
