John Hawkins is a scholar and writer whose work examines artificial intelligence, surveillance, political psychology, and the ethics of contemporary conflict. He is pursuing a PhD in philosophy at Sofia University (BG) and an MSc at the University of San Diego. His research engages peace studies, critical theory, and phenomenology, with particular attention to how technological systems reshape concepts of security, responsibility, and violence. His recent work has appeared in the journals NanoEthics, Torture, and Humanities. His forthcoming paper on living in a world without God will appear in Religions.
